The Sagrado was established in Phoenix, Arizona in 2016 as a response to the city’s lack of commitment to the South Phoenix community, arts, and culture. We stand as the only community arts organization and art gallery in South Phoenix that nurtures our community’s cultural identity and serves as a cultural bridge for the Valley.
In our first five years, the Sagrado has made significant progress implementing our vision to cultivate prosperous communities rooted in arts and culture while engaged in conscious development amidst the challenges of a global pandemic. Through our pillar art shows, workshops, community events, and design advocacy, the Sagrado has impacted the lives of more than 5,000 community members in South Phoenix and beyond.

Future.” We guide our present action by listening to the wisdom of ancestors who have sacrificed and created before us. We honor our past by being present in purposeful action and patient practice. This supportive foundation strengthens our vision and navigates us into the future we imagine.
