We have the ability to tackle wicked problems and create the future we want through design. Intentional design is vital to our wellbeing and communities should have control over the design of their environment to ensure it is nurturing and culturally relevant to them. This starts by giving tools and opportunities to people within the community to become the designers. Design empowerment workshops invite youth and community groups of all ages to learn about design by engaging in real design projects affecting their community. Our design archive reflects participants’ ideas about what type of development and design they wish to see for the future of South Central Phoenix.
